I was just informed by our Account Executive that the SQL Tile will only be available to consumption model accounts, so it does ME no good to try and get into the beta. Though if the "brew-your-own" SQL is all that will be available, then it probably will not be able to do what I need. I need windowing functions, recursive…

This must be yet another way that Domo is trying to force us to the consumption model. Otherwise the SQL Tile for Magic ETL is not available (or maybe it is still a BETA product 4 months later!.) By the way… What SQL parser / engine is used for the SQL Tile? Is it still MySQL 5.6??? I have tried to determine what "flavor"…

@DataMaven — I guess I am part of the 2nd class citizens using Domo, because the only thing in DomoStats that is view-related in "View Inputs", which only gives me "View Id", "Input", and something labeled "Distance".
-
@jace_at_domo — I only have access to Magic ETL 2.0, MySQL, and Redshift transforms. I am very disappointed that NONE of these seem to be able to handle something that would be simple in a modern database!

I completely agree. Domo needs documentation! the bit of FUNCTION DESCRIPTION available in the Formula Editor is a joke. And searching by function name does not even give useful results. Try searching for a complete description of the DATE_FORMAT, DATE_TRUNC, or TIMESTAMP_TRUNC functions, and you get thousands of results,…

i think I finally have it working consistently.. After setting the replacement variable value, go back to the query, make an insignificant change (add/remove a space at the end of a line), and apply.

Ok… NOW that there IS a Domo connector for Cosmos DB https://truste.domo.com/appstore/connectors/com.thirdparty.connector.144ab294-8cdd-4d83-ac94-8b1f016cb10a HOW do you use it? It asks for: Collection Name/Database Name/Host Name/Master Key But Azure has: URI / Primary Key / Secondary Key

Thanks @MichelleH … I was trying to stay away from the Domo Governance Connector because it was a third-party connector, and may be removed. Is it actually Domo-supported?
-
@MichelleH — Has the Card Fields with Beast Modes report been removed from DomoStats? Or is this a premium feature that must be requested through our CSM? I do not see it currently listed. Excerpt of report selection list

What is the purpose of the Activity Log if it does not include ALL activity! If It rely on just the activity log to decide if a data set is no longer needed, then it has the distinct possibility of breaking API calls.

ok… my first attempts to get all failed. But with a much more limited field list, a query (using the Salesforce Connector) that has "Query both active and deleted records" and includes both the IsDeleted and IsArchived fields, actually did get all of our task records. Therefore, I am going to assume that Domo is using the…

Just replace your dataset with a view of the dataset. Then in the view, you get to select the columns, and possibly add one or more constants or calculated fields. The only down-side is that is you add additional fields/columns to your dataset, you will also have to modify the view to include them (of you want them in your…

The questions should not be when it was last viewed, but who has viewed it. Since several of us wander around dashboards, looking at the cards for issues and validity, we exclude then from our consideration of "recent use". To get the full picture, use the DomoStats data sets to connect the activity log to people, cards,…

I do not know when they were added, but there are now DomoStats reports for: DataFlow Input DataSources and DataFlow Output DataSources. Combining the two lets you see the whole "envelope" around the dataflow, and connecting inputs to outputs let you see the full chain of processing (just remember to filter out any output…

I needed to do this with 16 source columns, with the added "fun", that case when Col x > Col Y then Col x else Col y end —- had to be extended to: Case when col x is null then col y when Col y is null then Col x when Col x > Col Y then Col x else Col y end… I "handled" it with a total of 15 calculated fields max_ab,…

That will be great functionality, and I look forward to trying it out.

The status update at makes it appear as if this only occurred on 2023-07-13, and that it has been resolved, when the state of ALL of my datasets originating from Twitter indicate that it is still ongoing. Since there is no update on the status page, can one be made here? —- @timehat is there any update?

Twitter has made another change, and now most of my data feed from Twitter are returning the error Domo is ready, but Twitter returned You currently have access to a subset of Twitter API v2 endpoints and limited v1.1 endpoints (e.g. media post, oauth) only. If you need access to this endpoint, you may need a different…

As a "Domo Employee" @nbezzant , you appear to be closer to the issue than any of us (simply Domo users). Do you know anything more about this, or when the Twitter Connector will start working again? It has been inoperable since 2023-03-30, with no updates on since Monday!

As of this morning, this is all that is noted in Domo Status: Incident #469270Minor IncidentThu, 30 Mar 2023 16:35 Pacific Domo Operations continues to investigate an issue affecting some Domo customers accessing their Twitter data. Fri, 31 Mar 2023 10:32:55 Pacific Domo Operations has identified the cause of the issue…

I also opened a Domo case, so that Domo Support can investigate,

We are using it, and for some saved searches, I get 100% error-free data set imports. For others, my success rate is down as low a 60% (10 tries, 6 successes). I have set almost all of the data sets up as auto-retry (up to 3 times), and so far, none have retried more than twice. All of these saved searches are owned by the…

Is there documentation of the java CLI command export-data? https://domohelp.domo.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043437733-Command-Line-Interface-CLI-Tool#2.3.8. seems to describe everything except the export-data command.
