I'm sure this application isn't available to download. You'll have to ask Domo directly. I'd also watch out in the coming months to see if something comes into the product. I wouldn't be surprised to see something at Domopalooza, for example.

The beta program is the best way to get access to non-public features. Dataset Certification, for example. Another good way is to have a close relationship with your customer success manager and to make sure he/she is aware of your needs. They can often align you with the right people and opportunities within product.

This seems perhaps overly complicated. Collaboration and Security appear to have the same calculations, so I think you can skip the outer CASE. SUM(CASE WHEN `Activity Quarter` = '2019Q1' THEN `Engagement Points` END) / SUM(`Engagement Points`) Also, is Activity Quarter a date datatype or a string? That would make a…

Sounds like a bug. It works for me. Consider contacting Support.

Partial victory? What does the interface do when you click on the dropdown? Does it expand but only show the one sheet?
-
Where is the data coming from? Under the job settings, if you can set it to 'replace', run it once again for a full replace, and then set it back to append for future processing. That way you effectively delete everything and include only what you want going forward. That's all dependent on the replace/append options…
-
That schema change error is a configuration option you can check/uncheck on the settings for the job, toward the bottom of the page under the heading Additional Settings. Make sure you've checked that the job can "allow schema changes" (at least for now). What happens when you preview, without error, and click on the Sheet…
-
That looks like a bug in validation to me. You should be able to pick the sheet. What happens if you preview first?
-
Yes. Dataset certification is in beta currently, using much of the same functionality and design as the card certification process.
-
Yes and no. There are some window functions available, but it's not officially supported according to Support. So you might have what you need, but you're on your own to make it work. Try the documentation here.

Sounds to me like you'd have to do this programatically using Domo's developer APIs. You could pull the data from Domo, add and deduplicate source system data, and reupload the cleaned data back to Domo. Repeated on whatever cadence you need. Aside from that, using a dataflow is actually a good idea, and 365k annual rows…

Whenever I have one of those "connecting..." statuses, invariably the log shows the job is still running. There are a string of identical log entries for the entire time, as though the job is hung up somewhere. When that's the case, I close both Workbench as well as the service, then I restart the service, restart…

Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly breakdowns are all available in that dropdown. If you answered your own question, feel free to mark your own post as solution or have @DaniBoy do it for you.
-
What do you see if you log in to workbench and look at the logs for that job, especially from the 3rd?
-
Perfect! Yes, I'm sure this will be so helpful. I'll reach out if I have more questions. I owe you lunch!

With free Domo you probably don't have access to Workbench and would need to use Domo's cloud connectors instead. That may affect what options are available to you. 1. I'm not sure how Domo stores the configurations about cards and pages, but they aren't reusable through any interface available to users. 2. Free Domo is…

Hi @JaredUJZ We're looking to do exactly the same thing in our Dynamics environment you've done in yours. Would you be willing to share what your web developer put together for you (less any sensitive information, naturally)?
-
It sounds like you're referring to Domo sorting by strings alphabetically, and 10 does come alphabetically before 2. What you need to do is separate your category names from the way those categories sort. This is often done with a custom beast mode calculation or a separate column that provides the sort order priority. The…
-
You should be able to mimic much or most of the architecture you have in other solutions, although: * Domo is fast enough that it doesn't really need to do OLAP style data warehouses, if that's what you have in Microstrategy * Domo should be able to upload most of the data you may have aggregated already * There are no…

I suggested limiting to just one customer just to see how fast the dataflow would run, as a sort of check on the logic. Running 54 million rows with that many columns, I'm not surprised by a three or four hour runtime. What is the nature of the data? Does it go back many years? Is that why there are so many rows? Or are…
-
Yeah, what we did was we created a dataflow that takes a list of all customers whether they've ordered or not. Onto that transform we then join actual sales data and have a series of columns with case statment calculations that end up being columns with name slike 'usd_amount_this_year', 'usd_amount_last_year', etc. We…
-
You reference a dataset of 123 columns and a million rows, but a table like this isn't mentioned in the query. Those three tables are all different sizes. Where does this first dataset come in to play? In my experience with Domo, 54 million rows is rather large for most companies and I'm not surprised a dataflow took a few…
-
I'd try this first since you want to sum price and quantity by the ordered, grouped pricecatweb string: SELECT `date` ,`ordernumber` ,SUM(`price`) as 'Total Retail' ,SUM(`qtyordered`) as 'Total Units' ,GROUP_CONCAT(DISTINCT `pricecatweb` ORDER BY `pricecatweb`) as 'Mix' FROM `df_int_sql_prep_sale_type` GROUP BY `date`…
-
That would also work to have separate query step to sort the data by the independent mix values before the aggregation. I think in your query you'd have something like ,GROUP_CONCAT(DISTINCT `pricecatweb` ORDER BY `pricecatweb`) as 'Mix' And the same thing in your GROUP BY at the end.
-
That placement will do it by the dataset but you can also use ORDER BY inside the GROUP_CONCAT function to order the list itself.
-
Yes, with the GROUP_CONCAT function you can insert an ORDER BY clause. SELECT... FROM... WHERE... GROUP BY... ORDER BY GROUP_CONCAT(DISTINCT...)
-
OK, then you have a choice, you can join your datasets with ETL, and do the groupings with the GROUP_CONCAT in a secondary dataflow, or just merge it all under one SQL dataflow. As for the syntax to bring your strings together, it would be something like this: SELECT date ,ordernumber ,SUM(`price`) as 'Total Retail'…
-
I don't have a lot of the details, but... Are you using the ETL to only give you this extra column and is the input to your ETL an output of a SQL dataflow already? If that's the case, forget using the ETL and inject this bit into your SQL. It will have to operate on the original column, not the already aggregated string.
-
Is the Mix column an output of your ETL, using the GROUP BY tile and the "Combine strings separated by ," operator? I don't think it's available in ETL, but SQL has a function called GROUP_CONCAT, which is an aggregator function like a SUM or AVG, and just combines string values into a single string, like that ETL…
-
@Wills Are these officially supported functions now? They've been somewhat available in a hush-hush way for a bit, but without support, documentation, etc, I feel adoption isn't what it could be.
