At the moment it's possible to aggregate a column using COUNT, but not COUNT DISTINCT. That means we have to create a beastmode for it every time we need to add that 'distinct' element. Could it be simplified by having this as an aggregation option directly?
Strongly agree. Not only for COUNT but for other aggregations like SUM as well. Its a pain to create Beast Mode fields just to do DISTINCT. Not sure why this is not there yet.
This is also the most common Summary Number beast mode I have to created:
COUNT(DISTINCT 'Item Number')
COUNT(DISTINCT 'Order Number')
COUNT DISTINCT('Customer Number')
etc.
Is this a duplicate of this Idea?
I can't believe this isn't a thing. I thought I was going crazy not finding this. I thought a count distinct was BI 101.
