Synchronize Drill-Downs Between Multiple Cards on a Dashboard

I have two cards on a dashboard that are both heatmaps of the same state separated by zip code. Both cards drill down into a table when a zip code is selected. I have them set to "Drill in place", but I would like them both to drill down on the same zip code at the same time. Filtering the page does not make the cards drill down. Basically, my idea is to expand upon "drill in place" to let multiple cards on the same dashboard synchronize their drill paths and drill down at the same time.
