Offset DATETIME Data Based on Personal Time Zone
The documentation (https://domo-support.domo.com/minasan/s/article/360042934394?language=en_US) states that Updating your personal time zone doesn't offset any DATETIME data you are viewing in Domo to display in your personal time zone. Only the company time zone offsets any DATETIME data.
I'm really puzzled by this. If the company HQ is in Chicago, IL and there are offices in Europe, tough for the European offices? They get to view Domo reports in Eastern Time?
The best practice for handling DATETIME data is to store it in UTC. Domo already recommends this. Then they drop the ball and provide a single global setting for displaying the data, while providing a per-user setting that doesn't do anything (much). 🤦
Please finish the job and add offsetting DATETIME data per user based on their individual personal time zone setting.
