Add a color rule when result is a case statement?

I need to add a color rule to a date field where I added a case statement to show no data entered. The color rule only allows me to choose a date. Any suggestions on how to add the color rule when it shows 'incomplete' in the data display?

This is the case statement I used:

CASE when Oct '23 Required= 'Yes'
AND Oct '23IS NULL then 'INCOMPLETE'
else Oct '23
END

    Hello. You need to set a color rule for when Oct 23 = 'Complete' as shown similarly below:

    You are mixing Dates and Strings and Domo is determining the type based on the majority of entries. If you are not operating on these dates in any other way, you can wrap your formula in a CAST (<FORMULA> AS STRING) to make sure Domo understand that this is text and will allow you to select options individually, of course this means they are no longer dates and you cannot set it based on ranges or the like.
