Refinement of new "Filter options" feature

It's very useful that the global filter options ribbon can be hidden - however, it appears to come at the expense of the default filter settings. I would like to enable a default set of global filters AND hide the global filter ribbon. In other words, just refine the functionality to hide the ribbon, not the functionality to set default page filters.
