Show Chart when expanding card on dashboard for all card Display Settings

When building dashboards, I sometimes edit the display settings on cards to only show the Summary Number. The purpose of doing this to simplify the dashboard view while giving the user the option to explore further by opening the card.

However I've found that the chart is still not visible when expanding these cards using the new pop-out feature, which just shows a larger version of the summary number. As far as I can tell there is no way to see the chart from the pop-out, since clicking the summary number just navigates to next drill layer with no filters applied.

I would like for the chart to always be visible when expanding the card, regardless of whether it's hidden in the dashboard view. At the moment the work-around for ensuring that users receive necessary context is to add another drill layer to each card impacted, which creates additional work.
