smart Backfill support for partition-enabled datasets

I believe the GA connectors were enhanced courtesy of an organization Oleksii worked for to support backfill. i.e. the connector could be configured to go back to X point in time and the connector would automatically backfill history.

It would be nice to see a similar feature supported for partition-enabled datasets.

Ex I should be able to state that my update window should be BETWEEN today-7 and Today, but smart backfill to a smart_start_date (ex 1/1/2021). The connector Ideally would backfill 7 days at a time up to the smart_start_date.

This would be crucial in environments where the data volume for is so large that we could not reasonably extract all the data from our source system in one massive pull.
