Calculate sum of x over (order by y)
Hi!
I have tried the following script in beastmode and it said successful after validating it but when I go to apply to any table, it shows an error, "An issue has occurred during processing. We are unable to complete the request at this time."
My Users column is an integer and my Section Master column is text.
SUM(`Users`) over (order by `Section Master`)
If it didn't work, why did it say successful?
Then I tried using mySQL and still nothing
SELECT `Users`, `Section Master`
SUM(`Users`) OVER (ORDER BY `Section Master`) AS usersbysection
from `bottom_25_simple_output_ranked`
Can someone show me how to do this in magic etl or a beastmode?

In your Beast Mode you need to wrap your SUM() in another SUM() because of how Domo interprets the function.
SUM(SUM(`Users`)) over (order by `Section Master`)
Here's a good video which describes this in more detail.
