Thanks for the reply. I noticed that in ETL data flow. Even I can do the same in our server etl where I am using a staging DB. I can just add a new column. It was just my thought that wouldnt be a row_number or rank group by stuff can be very relevant in beast mode?

any example of rank in beast mode? i actually tried rank and row_number functions. didnt work. may b my syntax was wrong
