There are a lot of ways to accomplish this but the easiest is probably to just drag whatever column you're using for date into the "sorting" section in chart properties. You can also create a beastmode and add that beastmode to the sorting section: month(your_date_column) The above options work as long as month 1 is…

variableYear Total: sum(case when date_format(insert_the_name_of_the_date_column,'%Y') = variableYear then insert_name_of_measure_you_want_summed end) variableYear - 1 Total: sum(case when date_format(insert_the_name_of_the_date_column,'%Y') + 1 = variableYear then insert_name_of_measure_you_want_summed end) @LearningNinja

Does selecting "Text" in the Type of Values section do the trick?

Being able to see row counts without having to run the ETL would allow you to more quickly ad easily see errors in your etl build-out.
-
Hi @AndreaLovesData, I'm not sure which option @ydigilov would prefer but for me, having this ability while authoring the dataflow as part of the previous process would be awesome.
-
Ok wait @Utz I'm lost. Where is Prod Source coming in? I don't even see that column in your original screenshot. Based on your original question, the case statement should read case left(trim(productnumber),3) when 'A' then 'Artwork' when 'M' then 'Sourcing' else 'No' end or, if you already have the beastmode for Prod Art…
-
You need tick marks around column names that contain spaces. Prod Art and Prod Source should have ` before and after them.
-
Try left(trim(productnumber),1)
-
You should go ahead and submit it to support - based on the responses above, this sounds like something exclusive to your instance.
-
In the "Save as" box, you should be able to type the word "Overview" and select it, and multiple locations if necessary, as your save-to location.
-
@ellibot made a tutorial on how to do just exactly this:
-
These settings in chart properties should work:
-
A lot of freight carrier applications have direct integrations with various Inventory, POS/Ecommerce applications so you could also consider looking at connector solutions for those platforms as well.
-
My understanding is this has no effect on existing cards in your instance. On newly created cards, however, the default colors available for you should align with whatever you've changed the default palette to in company settings.
-
If you add an else 0 before the "end" in your formula, that should fix the NaN issue
-
Yes, but it could be a beastmode referencing a variable which means you need to add the variable to the card for filtering based off of the beastmode to work. I can't think of anything else that would cause this. I would say reach out to Domo support at this point so they access your instance and look into the issue.
-
Are you sure it's a filter? It could be a variable disguised as a filter in which case you'd need to add the variable to each of these 2 cards in analyzer by editing the cards, searching for the businessunit variable in the calculated fields section on the left and checking the "add control to analyzer" option. If you're…
-
If this is a page filter, you'll need to edit the dashboard, click the wrench on the card that isn't responding and make sure "allow filtering" is selected in Filter Exceptions. If this is a filter card, you'll need to edit the dashboard, click the wrench icon on the filter card and make sure that all 7 cards on the page…
-
I don't think so. Access to a dashboard doesn't mean the user has access to the dataflow or even the datacenter in general. An option you may consider is adding the _batch_last_run_ column (if it's contained in your dataset) to the dashboard or adding the dataset info via smart text somewhere on your dashboard so viewers…

You can accomplish this with a Flex Table chart type. You can probably just change the chart type to flex without needing to rearrange any of the columns. You'll then need to adjust the "column definitions" and "change value options" in chart properties to get the variance totals you're wanting.

Appreciate the shoutout @GrantStowell! I thought you overtook me at the end @ColemenWilson so pleasantly surprised to see we tied behind the great @GrantSmith!
-
Yeah let me know if you do figure it out please Colin
-
Hmm I don't know, you can try adding the distinct command as in sum(sum (distinct cpm formula)) but I you may have to aggregate that in the ETL first. Or use Michelle's hover text option if that rolls up correctly.
-
Oh yeah you're right Colemen, it looks like nmizzel's was just a regular post, too:
-
What's your cpm formula?
-
Oh I think this belongs in ideas exchange with nmizzel's.

Not the biggest fan of the 'enter' work around either and would love to see a return to the previous functionality. Tab should autocomplete the suggested option when actively editing text. (Same with Tab + arrowing up and down if there are multiple options). Usually it's when not editing text that Tab cycles through the…
-
Try sum(sum(cpm_beastmode)) over(partition by carrier_name, month(`fiscal months`)) / sum(sum(cpm_beastmode)) over(partition by carrier_name, year(`fiscal months`))
-
Is carrier_name your X axis and loads your Y? If so your data is already partitioned by carrier_name. What are you trying to subtotal? Maybe paste a screenshot of your bar graph if you can.
-
You'll need to first create a beastmode calculating the percentage and use that as the tooltip field. Make sure you configure the format on the tooltip column as a percentage.
