I can't imagine this being such a difficult thing to do - all i want to select is most current value and one last value from a previous day... its seems like there should be a very simple way to do it. You are correct in your assumptions. I need only one value per day. As for the rest, you are indicating that I should be doing this in SQL and not ETL? because I am not too familiar with SQL process... but I will give it a go and see what is the result and post it here...
