Is it possible to use a value other than Category in the Outline view of a Gantt chart?

I want to display the rows per Program and Feature (i.e., the category), as in the outline view of a Gantt chart, but colour-code by pipeline status.

Gannt automatically uses the category field to colour code, even when custom colours are specified.

Is there a setting to override category colours with custom colours?

Yes, you should be able to override the category colors with custom colors in Domo's Gantt chart. Here are the steps to do so:

    1. Open the Gantt chart in Domo.
    2. Click on the three dots in the top-right corner of the chart and select "Chart Properties".
    3. In the "Data" tab, scroll down to the "Colors" section.
    4. By default, the Gantt chart uses the category field to color-code the bars. To override the category colors with custom colors, select "Use Custom Colors" instead of "Use Category Colors".
    5. Once you select "Use Custom Colors", you can specify the colors you want to use for each pipeline status. You can do this by clicking on the color swatch next to each status and selecting the desired color from the color picker.
    6. After you have set the custom colors, click "Apply" to update the chart.

The Gantt chart will now display the rows per Program and Feature, with each bar color-coded based on the pipeline status using the custom colors you specified. Note that this change will apply to all bars in the chart, regardless of the category field values.
