Month over Month % Change Formula

Hello,

I'm collecting data from Google Analytics for my company's website.

I'm graphing Date to Avg. Session Duration.

I need to add a calculated field for Month over month % change. How do I extract months from 'Date' column here.

Below is how I calculated Avg. Session Duration & have graphed it.

I want to use the MoM% in 'Summary value'

    Hello!

    I am not sure if this is possible to use in the summary number, but if you would like to use a Beastmode to grab the MONTH from the date column you can use a function similar to this:

    (SUM(CASE WHEN MONTH(date) = MONTH(CURDATE()) THEN id ELSE 0 END) / NULLIF(SUM(CASE WHEN MONTH(date) = MONTH(CURDATE()-1) THEN id ELSE 0 END),0)) - 1

    Using the MONTH() function grabs the month from any date column or function you use and can help with any calculations you might need.

    The above calculation I tried to use to calculate the MoM% for the difference in the sums of id for those months. I was unable to get this to function in the Summary number, but you might be able to get it to tweak it.
