Considering Domo Everywhere

Hello, Community,

Please pardon me being so naive to this topic in advance.

We have been using Domo for about 4 years now and we have about 120 user licenses in Domo. Recently, discussions have been brought up to share data to a bigger user base, but without exceeding Domo licenses.

I ran upon Domo Everywhere and had a few questions:

  • How exactly does Domo Everywhere work? Is it an add on that you purchase to basically iFrame a dashboard to an external website?
  • Cost? What does pricing look like?
  • Let's say we get it, based on your experience, what does the user experience look like for non-domo license users when they interact with "Domo Everywhere content"?
  • Does Domo Everywhere allow for PDP filtering? If so, how does that work for users who are not Domo users?

I appreciate your advice in advance.

Humbly,

Isaiah Melendez

    • How exactly does Domo Everywhere work? Is it an add on that you purchase to basically iFrame a dashboard to an external website?

Simply yes, there are two different versions of Domo Everywhere / Domo Embed - There's a private embed which allows you to utilize an iFrame but requires users to have a Domo license. Then there's Public embed which allows anyone with the URL to access the embedded page or card. This can be wrapped in your own UI behind a login

    • Cost? What does pricing look like?

You'd need to talk with your Account Executive to get pricing information but you're typically charged on per impression basis for each card. So if you're embedding a page with 10 cards on it every time the page is loaded, reloaded or filtered you're using 10 impressions.

It's a limited interaction but users can export data or filter data.

    • Does Domo Everywhere allow for PDP filtering? If so, how does that work for users who are not Domo users?

To better future proof, Domo recommends using programatic filtering instead of PDP due to potential issues with cookies. See https://developer.domo.com/docs/embed/filtering-options for more information on filtering options.

I'd recommend reviewing the documentation at https://developer.domo.com/docs/embed/embed-2 and also going to https://[YOURINSTANCE].domo.com/domoeverywhere for more information.

Domo has an example page where they've embedded a dashboard with Covid-19 information here: https://www.domo.com/covid19/daily-pulse/ to give you an idea of what it can look like.
