Count amount of dates in a row
I have two fields in a table, ‘DateOfStay’ and ‘Market’. ‘Market’ is representative of an airport and its nearby hotels. I’m trying to calculate how many individuals are staying at a market on a specific day (DateOfStay). Any insight on how I can approach/achieve this?
E.x. On 2022-03-01, 3 people were staying at a hotel near DTW
Data:
DateOfStay Market
2022-03-01 DTW
2022-03-01 DTW
2022-03-01 DEN
2022-03-01 LAX
2022-03-01 DTW
2022-03-01 SLC
2022-03-01 SLC
2022-03-01 LAX
2022-03-02 DTW
2022-03-02 DTW
Thank you!

It depends how you want to display the data, but at a basic level if you used a table card, drag in date of stay and market, then drag in market again and change the aggregation type to count. This would show you how many people stayed at each market on each day.

Hi @DataLawton -
@MarkSnodgrass is spot on. It really depends on what chart type you are using. If you need more help, please let us know what chart you want to display the info in and we may be able to provide some detailed screenshots.
