Sorting-Histogram Text

I have created a histogram chart with custom bins. The value is "text" and the sorting is off see below. How can I fix this?

    Similar to your existing beast mode:

    CASE

    WHEN CEILING(`Process Temperature (DegC)`)<= 0 THEN 1

    WHEN CEILING(`Process Temperature (DegC)`)<= 20 THEN 2

    WHEN CEILING(`Process Temperature (DegC)`)<= 40 THEN 3

    WHEN CEILING(`Process Temperature (DegC)`)<= 60 THEN 4

    WHEN CEILING(`Process Temperature (DegC)`)<= 80 THEN 5

    WHEN CEILING(`Process Temperature (DegC)`)<= 100 THEN 6

    WHEN CEILING(`Process Temperature (DegC) `)<= 120 THEN 7

    ELSE 999

    END

  • Hi @user000253

    This is because your bins are being sorted based on alphabetical sorting instead of numerical sorting (It's comparing each number one at a time in your value instead of the entire number). When I have bins like this I'll utilize a new beast mode which is similar to the original beast mode I used to create the bins and instead give it a numerical value and put that new beast mode into my sorting and sort on those numerical values.

  • Hi @GrantSmith

    Thank you. I'm not sure I fully understand what you mean give it a numerical value?

    This is my Beast Mode for the custom bins:

    CASE

    WHEN CEILING(`Process Temperature (DegC)`)<= 0 THEN '-20-0'

    WHEN CEILING(`Process Temperature (DegC)`)<= 20 THEN '0-20'

    WHEN CEILING(`Process Temperature (DegC)`)<= 40 THEN '20-40'

    WHEN CEILING(`Process Temperature (DegC)`)<= 60 THEN '40-60'

    WHEN CEILING(`Process Temperature (DegC)`)<= 80 THEN '60-80'

    WHEN CEILING(`Process Temperature (DegC)`)<= 100 THEN '80-100'

    WHEN CEILING(`Process Temperature (DegC) `)<= 120 THEN '100-120'

    ELSE'120+'

    END

    Do you mean to change, the last part with a numerical value? For example:

    WHEN CEILING(`Process Temperature (DegC)`)<= 20 THEN '2'
