Which data column format is better?
Hey,
I'm generating report from one of our platform and have a possiblity to have report in two formats.
Let's assume that A-category , B-subcategory, X-random value.
First type:
A1 | X1 |
B11 | X11 |
B12 | X12 |
A2 | X2 |
B21 | X21 |
B22 | X22 |
So in this case X1 is sum of X11 and X12. with DOMO limitation of summing total rows this might be useful...
Second type:
A1 | B11 | X11 |
A1 | B12 | X12 |
A2 | B21 | X21 |
A2 | B22 | X22 |
In second case we don't have total value, but we have a better division and summing we can do on our own.
I'm generating second type, i think it is more flexible and better for making charts. What is your opinion? Maybe I'm missing something?
Cheers,
Rafal

Hi Rafal
Your second option is the preferred option. Domo will read the rows of data independent of how they nest under preceding rows. In other words, Domo won't know that B11 is part of A1.
