How can I hide fields in Analyzer?

I have a card where the underlying data source contains over 40 fields, 35 of which I would like to hide in the Analyzer drop down menu (I don't want to confuse users with the extra fields). How can I select only a handful of items that appear in the Analyzer field?

This functionality does not currently exist in Domo that I'm aware of. In fact, there have been several Dojo posts in the past about implementing this type of "limitation" for the end-user. The only suggestion I might make for the time being is to create a dataflow from your source data, containing only the data elements to feed your card, or which you want to allow your users to filter on with Analyzer, and use that as the data source for your card.

Found a few post on it just now in the Idea Center, thank you for pointing that our DaniBoy. I see the posting in there says it has been implemented. I guess my question will change to requesting a status update, I will post it there.
