Restricting/Allowing Editor Access to Datasets by User

We would like designate access of specific datasets for specific users.

Are there security or permissions settings that combine a user/dataset level that still allow for editor capabilities?

An example of this need is to allow a certain editor access to view data in and build cards on only 2 datasets we use, and another editor access and build against a different group of 5 datasets.

Is there a way to acheive this in Domo?

    Hi all,

    Hi Candice,

Does your company use Publication Groups? If not, "editor" users only have access to view data from datasets which have been shared with them by another user with access to that data. A dataset is shared with a user when any card built on that dataset is shared with them. There is no more direct method of sharing a dataset with a user. So sharing 1 card (even a dummy card) from each dataset with the user(s) you want to have access to it should accomplish what you're looking for.

If your company does use Publication Groups, your answer will need to be much more customized for you, so you'll probably want to open a support ticket. You can reach them at the following url https://support.domo.com/

Hope this answers your question. Please let me know if not.

    Thanks!

    Starlord
