Multiple Schedules for a Single Data Connection

It would be helpful if there was a way to set up multiple update schedules for the same data connection in order to optimize performance. For instance, we would like to append data each day and then do a full dataset replace maybe once a week instead of doing the full replace every day. This would be ideal for any situation where historical data need to be kept up-to-date with changes, but these changes are not likely to be especailly critical or frequent.
