data types BigQuery --> Domo

Hi all,

I used the Google BigQuery connector to import in Domo a dataset directly from BQ. It worked, but I could not choose the data type for each column and the resulting Domo dataset has a numeric column when BQ had a string type.

I know I could convert the data types after the import, but I think it would be better to fix them during the first load.

Could you help me?

I think that it is Domo's problem that not only BQ but also column designation can not be done.

 

Unfortunately, with the current specification you need some kind of handling later.
You can either convert the column type later or you can either remove Flag "False" in DataFlow as below.

 

select * from
(select 'False' as Flag, 'Dummy' as StringColumn),
(select 'True' as Flag, StringColumn from Table_A)

BQだけでは無く、カラムの型指定ができないのは、Domoの問題だと思います。

残念ながら、今の仕様では後から なにかしらの手ほどきが必要です。
後からカラムの型を変換するか、下記の様にして、DataFlowでFlag "False" を除くかのいずれかになると思います。

(select 'False' as Flag, 'Dummy' as StringColumn),
(select 'True' as Flag, StringColumn from Table_A)
